Abstract:
The Commando operation reconstructs the aorto-mitral intervalvular fibrous body to facilitate aortic and mitral valve replacement in cases of advanced endocarditis or severe dystrophic intervalvular calcification. Here we present a case of severe prosthetic valve endocarditis with destruction of the intervalvular fibrous body in patient with prior transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and demonstrate the technique for TAVR explant and Commando operation.
